This past week we celebrated Easter. But before Easter Sunday there was Good Friday. What a gift we have been given through the amazing work that Jesus did for us all on the cross so many years ago.

I was asked to photograph the service at our church (LIFEhouse). Here are a few of the shots that I was able to capture.

Easter is my absolute favorite holiday of the year! We celebrate our risen Lord and welcome the beauty of spring. I was asked to photograph some of the fellowship, praise and fun at our Easter Sunday service. After the service we hopped into the car to head to Grandmas house to be with family. My nieces are not yet too old to have a fun egg hunt…for which I am so happy to report!

The BAM Project celebrates its first birthday! Yesterday I attended (along with over 100 other women) the one year celebration of this amazing new women’s network at Morgan Creek Golf Club. The network was founded by a two lovely ladies, Stephanie Sherwood and Barbara Wilber. Stephanie was our outstanding MC for the afternoon and ever so gracious in her thanks to all who have supported this new project. There are now many chapters of BAM around California with plans to extend around the world. Hop over to BAM’s web site to learn more about this great networking experience for women! I am so grateful to have found this lovely group of like-minded business women.

Adorable! That is Julie and Mark…in one word. What a great time I had with them at the Empire Mine taking engagement shots. Julie and Mark will be married this summer here in town, but they live down south by Magic Mountain. It is there that they met, at Julie’s son’s football practice, and from that point on there has been no turning back! Mark is such a sweet man and Julie a doll. They both love Jesus and it shows. I am so excited to photograph their wedding this July…they promise a party!

Heather and Clinton’s Wedding at Miners Foundry (Nevada City Wedding Photographer)

Heather and Clinton were such a lovely couple to photograph. (You might remember their engagement session that we did at Apple Hill). This past weekend Johnny and I were blessed to document their wedding at the Miners Foundry in Nevada City. They chose to have a “first look” before the wedding which is always such a special time for the couple. The downtown area of Nevada City is such an awesome place and if you have never been inside the Foundry you will enjoy seeing the stonework here, it is a beautiful venue to have a wedding. Heather and Clinton chose Antonio Custom Catering to cater their event, and oh my goodness…incredible food! Rachael, the owner of Art in Bloom did an amazing job on the flowers. The delicious apple pie was from Flower Garden and it was definitely a treat.

Heather and Clinton, thank you for having us with you on your special wedding day and may the Lord bring you many blessings in the years ahead!

Chef Athena Palombi on Fox 40 Live {Sacramento Photographer}

Yesterday I was up with the birds to head out to the filming of Fox 40 Live. Chef Athena Palombi was presenting a cooking demonstration and wanted a few still shots. Athena lives in the fast lane (unlike myself) and sometimes I get a call to document it for her. It’s always a fun adventure for me. She has become a sweet friend as well. After the Fox 40 Live shoot we went to the Sacramento Capital Museum to get a few “glamor” shots for her as well. Athena is a fantastic chef and as you see, a beautiful woman.

Yum! These are her Gluten Free Turkey Meatballs.

Darren Peck, the meteorologist at Fox 40 Live continued his reporting as Athena shared her wonderful food with the crew.

Paul Robins and Bethany Crouch are the hosts and anchors of “FOX40 Live”, the morning show on Sacramento’s Fox Television affiliate (KTXL). Such nice people.

Athena’s a natural in front of the camera!

We stopped for a few last shots…she is gorgeous!
